Pricing
- How much does a website cost?
- Depends on scope. For the productised website build (7-page service site, POPIA + analytics included), you'll get a quote with a price band after you submit the intake. No hidden extras.
- What's included in the fixed price?
- Design, build, copy, POPIA compliance, GTM + GA4 setup, 13-item technical SEO audit, staging review, production deploy, Cloudflare DNS + SSL. If it's in the scope, it's in the price.
- Do you charge hourly?
- No. Every service is fixed-price. If scope grows mid-project, we tell you before the work starts, with a revised quote.
Scope
- Can I get changes after launch?
- Small copy or image swaps — yes, included in the monthly retainer if you have one. Structural changes (new pages, new features) — yes, quoted as a separate project.
- What if my scope grows during the build?
- We pause, tell you, and give you a revised quote. You decide whether to add or defer. No surprise invoices.
- Do you build ecommerce?
- Not yet. Our website builds are service-site focused. Ecommerce is on the roadmap — ask us and we'll tell you where it is.
Tech
- What tech stack do you use?
- Next.js (App Router, TypeScript), Tailwind CSS, deployed on a managed VPS with Cloudflare in front. Standard, well-supported, easy for any developer to pick up.
- Do I own the code?
- Yes. The code lives in a private GitHub repository under our account during the project; we transfer ownership to you at the end of the build (or on retainer cancellation).
- Can I move hosts later?
- Yes. Nothing is locked to our infrastructure. You take the code, you take the database (if any), you take the analytics setup.
Compliance
- Is the site POPIA-compliant?
- Yes, by default. Every site includes a cookie consent banner, a privacy policy with the legally-required sections, and data-collection disclosures on every form. Information Officer contact is yours (from intake).
- Do you set up analytics?
- Yes. GA4 + GTM container + Consent Mode v2, installed before launch. You'll have data from the first visitor.
- What about cookie consent?
- Strictly-necessary cookies only before consent. Analytics cookies fire only on accept. GA4 runs in anonymous mode if the user declines. All via Google Consent Mode v2.
Process
- How long does a build take?
- 2–4 weeks from approved brief to production. Faster if the brief is tight and assets are ready; longer if copy direction shifts mid-build.
- What do you need from me?
- An approved intake, your logo (SVG preferred), brand colours, and responsiveness to review staging. Copy is written by us unless you'd rather write it yourself.
- What happens after launch?
- You get a one-page handoff PDF with the production URL, indexing status, speed report, and what to expect over the next 12 months. Monthly retainer starts if you want it. Otherwise, the site is yours, running.
